Boyd's Forest Dragon
- The lizard can only be found I tropical rain forest where the temperature is hot and humid and sometimes rains. These lizards like to bask in the sun.[2]
Therefore you often see the lizard come down from the trees and be lying on the ground to absorb some of the heat coming off the surface.
The lizard doesn't like cold temperature. As the rain forest isn't always hot the lizard speicies adapt overtime to survive in the temperature around them. This is known as thermoforming.[2]
The lizard is unlikely to be found in cities it is mostly found in a rain forest where it likes to live in trees. However you may find the lizard in the city if someone has adopted it as a pet. It would have to live in a heat controlled glass tank where it would be warm and have little brunches to cling on to and camouflage.
